Newcastle is my TEAM OF THE WEEK.
「 conjuring magic at 1:35 AM 」

In a week which i was so busy working on iDrive's website that I'm reluctant to spend time blogging about Man U's maintaining their 6-pt lead over Chelsea, and Moanrihno's job hunt at the end of the season.

But but... watching Tottenham vs Newcastle, I must say that Newcastle is my team of the week. Even though the match is still in progress while i'm typing right now, Obafemi Martins just scored my GOAL of THE SEASON. His 72nd min strike is such a good strike that i must put down everything and write about it....

No way there is going to be another goal like this this season... go watch the replay or go find the clip on youtube... just go watch it.

and the way Newcastle clawed back from 1-0 down is phenomenal. therefore they get my Team of the Week award.

P.s. i used to think Paul Robinson is a good keeper. but i think recently he has been making way too many mistakes..... hmm... and it started from the Gary Neveille's own goal last yr...

P.S. II.... I think Chimbonda is a bastard, and the referee is a fussy retard...

P.S. III. Defoe just hit the bar on 86th minute. Heart-stopping game...

What a Great Day...
「 conjuring magic at 1:07 AM 」

Boxing Day's matches never fail to brighten up my day.
Brief Recap on the scores:

Out of three matches that I'm really watching out for, I think I got 2 good results. Liverpool, well, their run for third place has come to a halt by a resilient Blackburn. I sort of have a bad feeling about them last week, esp during first half. Good results for Blackburn though. Kinda disappointed that they flirting with relegation this season considering their fine performance last season. They do have good players whom i really like, Pedersen is one of them and Lucas Neil the other. But tough luck for Steven Gerrard, cause Liverpool was doing so well with him playing in the middle.

Now that i'm watching Watford against Arsenal, I'm silently hoping that Arsenal would slip a bit, maybe getting a draw, in a day where all the home teams seem to get the results.

Back to the 2 matches concerning Chelsea and Man U. Caught a bit of the Chelsea Match, just in time to watch how Cole comically did his part in throwing Chelsea's title away. For all his moaning and complaining, he is actually quite a decent and consistent player. My view is that Chelsea is really suffering from Terry's injury, and good news for all man u fans, Terry might be out for a longer period if he has to go thru surgery. Not that i'm gloating about it cause Terry is one of the few Chelsea's players that i admire. For all his drive, determination and leadership, he does earn my respect. Hmm... why din mourinho play Boulahrouz today? Aww.. he din even make it to the "bench of the expensive butts". haha... i really miss him. I think Mourinho really shot his own leg this time round by bringing on Cole for Bridge.

Whatever... as long as Chelsea drops points I'm happy. Even happier when it's an own goal and it's scored late in the game. They are tasting their own medicine after doing it to Wigan and Newcastle.

To Man U game, to be fair to Wigan, they were in it for the first half. However, with the introduction of Ronaldo, Man U looked like a different team. I think everyone is giving Ronaldo too much credit. Till date, I'm not really convinced about his "transformation" from the player who cannot get a proper single shot nor pass from his way-too-fancy legs. but I'm starting to like him. it's obvious that man u is where it is because of him. But let's not forget scholes who delivered the corner for the first goal, park who won the penalty for the second and rooney and solskjaer for the third. Ok. solskjaer, for his predator instinct, i take back my words about him being only worthy of a championship team.

Man-of-the-match for me belongs to Vidic, who kept Heskey at bay for the whole night and looking at how Chelsea was almost ruined by Heskey alone, i think vidic deserve more credit for his effort. Rooney, he's plain unlucky today for not getting onto the score sheet. He is working really hard and we can see that from the 3rd goal. But who needs rooney to score as long as he is doing what he is doing now... right?

I think i'll have a good sleep tonight, knowing at that the gap between us and Chelsea is widening. Can't wait for them to self-destruct AGAIN with Fulham. While we will once again trample Reading and increase the gap to 7.

The 3 big prizes include:
1 x prize that Eunice wanted.. something that she had mentioned over the past 1 year.
1 x prize that Eunice should like... according to jiehao's keen observation skills.
1 x prize that Eunice doesn't like and Jiehao like. So if she wins the prize, she would probably give it to jiehao. haha

Rules:
All prizes will be hidden in the Jiehao's vehicle. You will have 5 mins to search for the prizes. When you find the prize, please do not touch it. Ask our assistant, Jiehao, for help to retrieve it. at the end of the 5 mins, all the prizes and their locations will be revealed to you. You will then have the chance to trade your prizes. Man U needs to SPEND. Hear that Fergie?
「 conjuring magic at 2:26 AM 」

Ok.. had been wanting to say this for the whole week, but was busy fixing the blog.

if Alex Ferguson has 25 + 25 mil to spend per season, he should spend it. I don't really trust the Glazers but if there is any truth in the mid-week report, Ferguson should really start buying and sell, if there are any suitors for the second-tier players.

Right now, all seems pretty and good and man u fans must be getting all excited by the myth that we usually perform better during the second half of the season. but guess what, unless fergie starts making the Glazers open their cheque book, i don't think man u will win the championship ever again.

*60:00.. Wigan is performing WAY WAY WAY above my expectations... I hope they don't raise my hopes too much and then disappoint me by losing 1-5 or 1-6 later.*

Looking back to last Sunday. frankly i'm not really shocked by the loss at charlton. Yeah they had a new manager, and O'reo-Cookie... i mean Reo-Coker had many reasons to perform and players wanted to impress Curbishley, but guess what. it's the depth of the team that let the fans down.

Firstly, aside rooney, whose form is never consistent to be fair, we don't have a good striker. Saha is probably a good substitute and a decent rotation player, at best. As much as i like Solskjaer for his effort in 1999, mind you, 1999, i think he should probably be a good player in the Championship for Keano's Sunderland. Smith, is past his prime and should not have left Leeds in first place. Rossi is still an unpolished gem, from the few Newcastle matches that i've watched, he is probably somewhere near Saha's level, and also, as chance-wasting. With Ruud, I was confident that we have a 20-25 goal/session striker, but as usual, good old Fergie did it again, getting rid of Ruud for a way too low fee. Now, he is knocking in goals for fun in Madrid.

*75:00.. GOAL!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOO!!! Go Heskey... I think Boulahrouz made the assist again. Was it a controversial goal? hmm... i was too busy typing just now. hahaha... good decision by the referee... *

Secondly, the squad is so thin that one injury to any of the first eleven and there goes the title. Look at Giggs, 33, Gary, 31, Scholes, 32, and any injury to them, we are destined for second-placed. Last Sunday, the match with West Ham exposed this weakness even to Stevie Wonder. Bring down giggs at 73min, and o'reo scored 2 mins later. And what options does fergie have?
while chelsea could easily splash in 30 mil (Sheva) and 20+mil (Wright-philips) and 12+mil ( Obi One Mikel a.k.a. betrayal at old trafford) and drown the opponents with their money, Fergie could only bring in O'Shea (84min) and half-fit Park (88 min). Did he really think that these 2 players can change the game? Maybe Park when in top form, and O'shea... maybe after reincarnation...

*90:00. ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... i refuse to say who won the game... but wigan just ... conceded... hahaha i know i'm blogging at snail pace, and it shouldn't be that way given the lousy end to the game.*

Ya. finally, the final whistle. From the chelsea game, you can see that moanrihno, again, throw in 30 mil benchwarmer and 12 mil obi one and win the game, again. Even though their squad had been trimmed last summer, they can still well-afford to get terry, lampard, drop-ba, ashley cole, and joe cole injured all at the same time and still win a mid-table team easily.

Fergie should spend his 25 mil to bring in some quality substitutes and the other 25 mil for another superstar striker. Of course i think Torres would be a quality buy. Considering Man U hits their opponents the hardest during counter attacks, and Torres would fit into the formation easily. Other options like bent, AJ, are pretty much good substitutes. I am silently hoping for Fergie to break his usual conservative style and try to bring in a big striker like Klose or Iaquinta who did well in World Cup and are currently doing well in their respective leagues.
Most probable solution: Bid for Torres and pray. If not, Rossi for first team together with Larsson and pray.

Another 2 attacking/defensive mid-fielders would probably be well received by the fans. Scholes is fantastic, especially his strike today. but in recent times, it has a been a rarity to see him score, especially when mau u is chasing the game. Carrick don't really look like a superstar in the making. Sure he is doing well now in the team with Scholes in the middle. But that has increased Scholes defensive burden, and the result: his lack of goals. Cristiano Ronaldo's form has been erratic ever since he came. He is performing well this season, especially his impt first goal today. but we cannot always rely on him and giggs and scholes in the midfield, esp when giggs and scholes are at the brink of retirement.
Hahaha... during June i was hoping that AC milan will be relegated so that Man U can go in for Kaka, easily the best player in Serie A. Maybe we should offer 50 mil for Kaka during Jan? but he is cup-tied and probably would not risk his status in Serie A for premiership unless we have some rich brat by the name of Roman A-something. No prizes for the next player in my wishlist. Yes.. Stevie Gerrard. in FM2007, i tabled 120 mil for Gerrard and was turned down by Capello, so i guess i can dream on.and in my dream, fabregas too has agreed to a man u deal..

Most probable Solution:
1. Buy Hargreaves and push scholes forward more often. Let's try to trick Bayern that O'shea is a fantastic defensive midfielder who can play everywhere in the field, maybe also goalkeeping? let's throw in fletcher as a free gift. might as well. But my gut feeling is that Hargreaves might turn into an expensive flop, like we so often see in recent times. veron-who?
2. Nolan, bolton. I'm a keen admirer of nolan. He delivers consistently for bolton. when he plays they win. simple. he kinda remind me of keane.
3. Go to man city and bid for barton and micah richards. Richards is outstanding. He can plays DM and also RB, which brings me to my next point.

Our defense has been good this season. But anyone gave gary neville's proness to injuries much thought? who is to step in? Are we going to cheat ourselves with o'shea again? or wes brown who plays well in his every alternate match. Richards should be a good understudy under neville both for man u and england. but man city should be a hard nut to crack considering our ever-friendly ties with them.

overall fergie needs to spend. and as a man u fan i'm getting frustrated. we lack chelsea's depth, we lack arsenal's talent youngsters, erm.. liverpool... we don't have gerrard, and finally we have an overall ageing starting eleven. and if man u don't move fast we are going to be the most unattractive, rich club in the world where young talents will refuse our offers and pray that chelsea buys them to put their expensive butts on their lousy bench.

OK.. getting late.. well continue on all my tips for Fergie after Christmas. Anyway for today, ronaldo gets my MOM award. But i almost fell asleep during first half. Someone mentioned about them hitting our posts and all we did was aim at their fans. saha couldn't hang to the ball for 5 secs to bring giggs and ronaldo in for the attack. Aston Villa just self-destruct after ronaldo's goal, so to all man u fan, let's not get too carried away and let's pressurize ferguson mentally to buy. i hope he reads my tips and follow accordingly. I have a sickening feeling for our Boxing Day match with Wigan. wigan looks hungry today, maybe hesky forgot his lunchbox, and the last minute goal does not fully justify their loss esp their second half performance. We will be without scholes, vidic (whom i think is a superb buy, a rarity by fergie's standard) and carrick. Let me guess... o'shea fletcher and the ever-reliable silvestre is coming in? Fergie will be moving giggs back to the centre with either fletcher or o'shea, and put park and ronaldo in the flanks. Hopefully everything goes well... *fingers crossed till boxing day.

Next up... my secret instructions to Eunice... christmas search....

Blog, Christmas Season, and lots of sidetracking
「 conjuring magic at 1:27 AM 」

BloG

Certainly spent some time on this current template, trying to get it right. Had some problems with the html. The developer for this skin glaringly missed out on the title, which is something that I really wanted for my ideal blogskin and also the comments, which to me is more of a luxury.. never really bothered with comments from others...

it was not till yesterday when i finally got everything up and running. Never an expert with html, but i guess whatever limited knowledge I had was suffice. Then, all of a sudden, hmm... i mean while staring at my scrawny, thin and underweight wallet, i decided to add in a few ads to bolster my wallet from our ever friendly google. NOT THAT I EVER GOT PAID BY THEM... but i don't think it will harm me in any way to POTENTIALLY earn a few good bucks. I tried to only add the ads that i think will benefit people who uses internet and blogs. So don't be modest and please them... they are of course, ... free....

Oh.. and about the donation thingy... ya... it's christmas isn't it... hahah... i'll probably use the money, if any, for either idrive's development or for other charity purposes.... so PLEASE DONATE! I'll send a personal email to thank you for your charity.... =)

Christmas...

I was never a true fan of christmas, however an extra day of holiday was always welcomed. With Eunice around, christmas certainly meant a bit more to me...

SHIT MAN... Chelsea just scored against wigan AGAIN... 2-0. not that i expect anything from Wigan.... but... Anyway... just to side-track. I think Mourinhno(or whatever his name is..) is crazy in playing Essien as right-back, instead of his position, which is in the centre. I hate to say this but i think Essien is the best defensive midfielder in the premiership. Just look at the rest of the Big 4 now? Carrick? Nah... Gerrard/Alonso? not quite. Gilberto is certainly not a bad defensive midfielder but i think there are some instances where he actually leaked a few soft goals. Money-grabber Ballack, brought in for his place in the centre, is certainly a redundant purchase, brought in as a substitute for Lampard, just in case Lampard gets injuried during the season and to be consistent in their absurb theory of having 2 players for every position.. just look at their right back. For one, Lampard NEVER gets injuried, i think he only missed a couple of games last season, and therefore together with Shevchenko, Moanrinho *oops... only brought in 2 benchwarmers, a string of second-tier players most notably, Boulahrouz (why in the hell was he bought? just look at his performance at everton.. hm.. ok i take that back.. why din Chelsea buy more players like him???) , while letting go of Duff, Gallas, Del Horno, Tiago..... plus another moaner in Ashley Cole ( which i have to concede is a good player in my opinion). More on premiership later.

Yeah... about Christmas. I bought a few presents for Eunice. hahah to be precise, 3 presents, which cost quite a bomb. will post the update tomorrow. Going to play a game for her to "earn" the presents... will post the instructions for her later in the next post.

Well all in all Christmas to me is just a crazy holiday where ppl mop to Orchard Roads and pray synthetic snow flakes and streamers at each other while alot of indian foreign workers take the streets, holding hands... and supposedly molesting young girls, not that i've seen it before. Anyway i stopped visiting orchard during christmas. The mixture of disgusting scents emitted from the foreign workers, synthetic snow flakes and sweaty bodies isn't really a turn-on for me. Instead, a good movie, "LOVE ACTUALLy for tomorrow? " with nice food should serve as a wonderful holiday for me. even though PRESENTS are most welcome (eunice ya? hhahaha)

Time for another mid-post report... WOOOHOO, hail heskey.... 2-1 now... THANKS TO MY FAV. CHELSEA PLAYER... Boulahrouz for Chelsea Captain. YEAH... go WIGAN!!!! Go HESKEY and BOULAHROUZ... do it for Wigan..

ok.. next up a wrap of premiership... stay tuned...
